The Belantara Foundation was established in 2014 to seek and manage funding to support wide-ranging landscape scale conservation projects in Sumatra and Kalimantan, Indonesia.
The Foundation aims to help ensure a careful balance is found in the region between economic development, the livelihoods of people in local communities and environmental conservation.
Development of a Conservation Master plan in ten landscapes across Sumatra and Kalimantan.
Development of the Master plan is intended to enhance synergies and harmonize activities within the landscape carried out by multiple parties focused variously on the environment, socio-cultural and economic development and sustainable production.
